My Kindle came this morning, just in time for my train trip to Portland this weekend. It’s great! I haven’t had a chance to settle in with it and just read (but there will be time tomorrow), but I’ve already purchased my first book for it, Laurie King’s The Art of Detection
The selection of books is not great… there are about 100,000 listed on Amazon. Many series are incomplete. But, they are working on improving the selection.
The e-ink is fantastic. You can read it from any angle, there is no glare or eyestrain since it is not backlit. I love being able to quickly change the font size as my eyes get tired.
No more lugging around a stack of books on vacation!
