I often crave a decent burger at lunch time. Working in the International District, this is a problem. Things were looking up when Mumu’s Burgers & Crepes opened up in the Uwajimaya food court. There was often a long line for their cooked to order burgers. Then Mumu’s sold out to become Herfy’s #9. Yikes. Now the burgers are microwaved to order and, judging by the taste of the fries, the fry grease is changed about once a year. Not good.
For years we’ve walked by Dome Burger in Pioneer Square on our way to Soup Daddy, Pizza Pro, and Tat’s and wondered who went there. One day in a burger need craze, we decided to check it out. What a pleasant surprise! The burgers, while not the best burger evah, are competent, quick, and cheap. The fries are thin cut and tasty. It has become a staple of our lunch rotation.
My very favorite part of Dome Burger is that almost every person in there is a dude eating by himself. Makes me laugh every time.
Dome Burger is worth a stop if you are in the area and are craving a burger.
